Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler joined the protests in Oregon’s largest city as demonstrators continued to clash with Department of Homeland Security forces deployed by the Trump administration near the federal courthouse.
It didn’t go well for Wheeler, who was hit by tear gas from the officers and jeered by the protesters. Demonstrators frustrated with his handling of the city’s police department and his belated show of support for the protests chanted “F*** Ted Wheeler” and called on him to resign.
Oh ok, a mayor from a large US city JOINED in on a protest and got tear gassed by feds and rejected by the protesters. That's new, and for him, that's a double whammy.

China vowed to retaliate Wednesday after the United States abruptly ordered the closure of its consulate in Houston, a move that further inflamed tensions between the two superpowers.
Um, would Enrique DARE start a war with CHINA of all people right before the elections??? This type of move doesn't have immediate consequences. This type of move takes place for future actions.

A record number of new confirmed coronavirus cases were recorded across the globe on Saturday, with more than 250,000 cases reported, the World Health Organization said.
It was the first time the number of new single-day infections topped a quarter-million, the health agency added, with 259,848 cases recorded.
It's not necessarily how fast the cases are adding up...it's just that they can't be stopped.
