A prayer for the people of Japan...

Do not look at us for who we really are.
Lest you turn us into dust and ashes yet again.
In mercy, please overlook our trespasses
and instead of wrath shower us with your grace.

Your majesty is complete with all splendor,
lovingkindness is your middle name.
Do not give full vent to your anger O Most High,
who can stand in your way when you choose to display your power?

If we don't worship You o Living God,
it is because we are ignorant.
Are not Your ways way higher than ours?
Then how can we be expected to even know You?

You are in heaven and we on earth. We are at your mercy
and we are your footstool.
Do not crush us. Have mercy on us!
Give us one more chance to stand in awe of You and Your ways.

LET US TURN TO THE LIVING GOD!
