Maybe the term "new world order" has become cliche' and no longer "en vogue". Perhaps, as society becomes more desensitized about the idea of a world government, it would be easier to form such an entity.

In any case, could this Putin move-who btw has called the US a parasite http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0811/60468.html-have a snowball effect on the order of things?

Obama signed an executive order Thursday that gives the United States authority to impose sanctions on individuals as well as "key sectors of the Russian economy." The new order gives the Treasury Department the ability to target individuals and institutions in Russia's financial services, energy, metals and mining, defense and engineering sectors.

He may not have had more EO's than other presidents in his first term...but he will certainly be picking up the pace.

Earlier this month, after the U.S moved to impose sanctions on top Russian officials and bar Russia from the G-8, Russia’s stock market plummeted and the value of its currency, the ruble, fell against the dollar. In response, Putin adviser Serge Glazyev said Russia would strike back through financial means. “We hold a decent amount of Treasury bonds—more than $200 billion—and if the United States dares to freeze accounts of Russian businesses and citizens, we can no longer view America as a reliable partner,”  Glazyev said earlier this month, per this Barron’s report. “We will encourage everybody to dump U.S. Treasury bonds, get rid of dollars as an unreliable currency, and leave the U.S. market.”

Um...This is serious. Yet, it does not get enough attention. One can only speculate why...and what would happen if others, ESPECIALLY CHINA, were to follow. 

This is worth repeating. This is serious.

This, if materialized, could snowball into the collapse of the DOLLAR!

A Google research team is adapting that model to measure the trustworthiness of a page, rather than its reputation across the web. Instead of counting incoming links, the system – which is not yet live – counts the number of incorrect facts within a page. "A source that has few false facts is considered to be trustworthy," says the team (arxiv.org/abs/1502.03519v1). The score they compute for each page is its Knowledge-Based Trust score.

The software works by tapping into the Knowledge Vault, the vast store of facts that Google has pulled off the internet. Facts the web unanimously agrees on are considered a reasonable proxy for truth. Web pages that contain contradictory information are bumped down the rankings.

But what will he do if Russia chooses to flex its muscles? China has already warned of repercussions were the US to intervene in anyway.
