He has also faulted the Catholic church for its negative obsession with homosexuals and birth control and has spoken out about climate change.

Although many Christians do have an obsession with "fighting" the homosexual agenda, Francis is more concerned with tolerance for homosexuality. His stance should be neutral as should ours as Christians. Our focus is on Christ, the head of the Church, not on contemporary social issues. 

DO NOT STAND FOR GAYISM. BUT DO NOT STAND AGAINST IT EITHER. 

Our world isn't getting "gooder" by the day. It is getting worse, AS PROPHESIED. Why spend our energy during these last days on an obvious, secondary issue? 

Francis even talks about political issues, like climate change, in his speeches and it appears he has taken a softer stance on birth control. Again, those are contemporary WORLD issues. Not Christian concerns. That Genesis admonishes us to care for our habitat, given to us by God, doesn't take away from the fact that God is fully aware of what planet Earth's future is.

Annual inflation was 1.5% in March, up from 1.1% in February. That's well below the Federal Reserve's 2% target, as falling gasoline prices offset rising food costs. Beef, pork, poultry, eggs and milk have had the most dramatic price increases as drought, a virus outbreak and rising exports have thinned U.S. supplies.

Why?

MIT Review’s Brian Bergstein admits that the notion of implanting or removing specific memories “often sounds creepy,” but that it will be useful in treating PTSD, reducing anxiety or combating addiction and depression.

The government on Tuesday authorized establishment of a committee that will examine ways to eliminate cash from the Israeli economy – the better to prevent citizens from cheating on their taxes. The committee will be chaired by Harel Locker, director of the Prime Minister's Office.

Cash is easily passed from individual to individual, and transactions using cash can take place without the tax man's supervision. Not so electronic transactions; with modern computers, banks can keep tabs on how much people deposit into their accounts and how much they withdraw, whilecredit card companies have an up to the second record of how much people spend.

A society that conducts business transactions only via electronic means would allow the government to track each and EVERY person's spending habits and would make it impossible for people TO BUY OR SELL without the electronic means. Debit cards and credit cards will be a thing of the past because they can still be lost or stolen. 

Radio-Frequency Identification technology already exists. Its implementation into society will be a gradual process that would include, firstly, those who desire it, secondly, those who don't desire it but feel like they need it to function in society, and lastly, those who wont accept and who will be discarded.

Again, from an alternative newssource-it seems the mainstream media has gone on strike on reports about events that actually matter-CHINA AND RUSSIA SIGNED GAS DEAL OF THE CENTURY.

Russia and China have just signed what is being called “the gas deal of the century”, and the two countries are discussing moving away from the U.S. dollar and using their own currencies to trade with one another. It could end up fundamentally changing the global financial system, and not in a way that would be beneficial for the United States. 

Of course countries sell oil and natural gas to each other all the time. But what makes this deal such a potential problem for the U.S. is the fact that Russia and China are working on cutting the U.S. dollar out of the entire equation.

In the United States, our current standard of living is extremely dependent on the rest of the world continuing to use our currency to trade with one another. If Russia starts selling natural gas to China without the U.S. dollar being involved, that would be a monumental blow to the petrodollar. And if other nations started following the lead of Russia and China, that could result in an avalanche from which the petrodollar may never recover.

Meanwhile, the relationship that the U.S. has with both nations is quickly going sour. The crisis in Ukraine has caused relations with Russia to drop to the lowest point since the end of the Cold War, and now China is deeply offended by charges that Chinese military officers have been involved in cyberspying on the United States…

China on Tuesday warned the United States was jeopardizing military ties by charging five Chinese officers with cyberspying and tried to turn the tables on Washington by calling it “the biggest attacker of China’s cyberspace.”

China announced it was suspending cooperation with the United States in a joint cybersecurity task force over Monday’s charges that officers stole trade secrets from major American companies. The Foreign Ministry demanded Washington withdraw the indictment.

The testy exchange marked an escalation in tensions over U.S. complaints that China’s military uses its cyber warfare skills to steal foreign trade secrets to help the country’s vast state-owned industrial sector.

Speaking of leverage...Amid tensions between the United States and Russia in recent months many international analysts have warned of consequences that may include everything from thermo-nuclear detonations to asymmetric warfare such as financial cyber attacks, weapons of mass destruction, or targeting of the national utility grid.

The Obama administration has already begun implementing sanctions against Russian politicians and business interests, but rather than leading to a compromise the controversial geo-political maneuvers may be further fueling the fire. According to Marin Katusa, Chief Resource Strategist at Casey Research, Russia’s control of valuable domestic resources puts them in a unique strategic position against the United States and gives them significant leverage should they choose to implement sanctions of their own.  The country is rich in oil and gas, an advantage they have used time and again in negotiations with Europe by simply threatening to shut down gas pipelines if their demands weren’t met. But something most people don’t realize is that the Russians also dominate the rare earth metals sector, namely the mining of uranium.
If Russia were to restrict the export of that uranium, explains Katusa, life as we know it in the United States could come to an abrupt halt.
If that happened America’s lights would go out. It would be the greatest blackout in American history…
The irony is John Kerry is going out there with Obama and talking about all these sanctions they’re going to put on the Russians. If the Russians wanted they could pull the rug out from under the American energy matrix and 20%, one out of every five homes in America, would be in blackout.

The U.S. government has plans to strong-arm some of the largest financial institutions in the world by imposing a 30% withholding tax on all transactions concerning U.S. securities.(FATCA)
Most Americans don’t realize that the greatest weapon in our nation’s arsenal is not our military might or our education system, but the simple fact that the U.S. dollar is the world’s “reserve currency.” As such, our money forms the basis of the global financial system. And banks around the world hold our dollars in reserve against their loans. That’s why, for the past few decades, we have been able to print and borrow trillions of dollars, with no real negative impact.

We are the only country in the world that does not have to pay for imports in a foreign currency. We can rack up enormous debts and then print more money. But this exorbitant privilege could soon expire, because many of the most powerful countries around the world (including China and Russia) are looking for a new world reserve currency.

And when the U.S. dollar is no longer the world’s reserve currency… when we can no longer print money and borrow absurd sums without consequence– we are in trouble.

FATCA is evidence that the government knows the dollar is about to collapse when it tries to regulate transactions in foreign countries which will most likely lead to an even further and faster fall when businesses refuse to conduct transactions in $'s. Might wanna do this ASAP because the government will start flexing its muscles by using tyrannical powers to prevent this move once the obvious is out in the open.
