In other words...God is always right for two reasons:

1. He ACTS right.
2. He is above all acts and thus not subject to being judged with anything in regards TO acts.

Indeed, God's sovereignty is beyond understanding, since we are bound by laws of nature/physics.

Could this verse be used to advocate the thinking that revelation does not necessarily unfold chronologically? Would God want his people to "come out of her" the same day He chooses to destroy her? Or would he destroy babylon in parts?

Have grace and salvation always existed?

Was there salvation and grace before Christ?

This is a good question. I think that complicated/difficult questions are part of the walk. Why? because we dont know/have the answer to all questions. Many times, questions may be planted in our heads for different reasons. Many times, questions(seeds) are planted so that our faith may grow and in so doing build up the church. Other times, questions are planted by the enemy in an effort to grow and cultivate doubt. It's really about what we choose to take care of. What do we want to make grow? Our faith or our doubt?

But what the questions that we dont know the answers to can do is serve as a test of faith. In other words, if God were to ask "are you going to let a difficult question(since the important part is easy, Jesus IS God) stop you from believing in Me? This notion is similar to what took place in the garden. We wanted to KNOW, hence the fall. We weren't able to just BELIEVE.

Man has always been saved by faith since witnesses have ALWAYS existed (romans 1:20). Nowadays, the witness of God, is God incarnate, Jesus Christ. Salvation comes from accepting HIM. Before God manifested Himself in the flesh, the witness was the Law, which pointed towards the future, and God incarnate. Salvation came by believing what the Law said and what it pointed to. Before the Law, the witness was Creation. Salvation came by believing that God was responsible for Creation.

Faith is what saves. Whereas today, we look to the PAST in believing that God has already manifested Himself in the flesh, those who came before such manifestation looked ahead to the FUTURE.

The next questions then would be:

What about those who had no access to the law? Or what about those who have no knowledge of Jesus?

Well then, in that case, their witness would be creation. Where the law or God incarnate does not have the ability to witness, creation itself is the witness.

Grace and salvation have always existed since grace is part of the power of God and salvation a byproduct of that same grace.

Given the present circumstances the world finds itself in, once oil hits $100 a barrel, I dont think we'll see it go back down under $100 for a looooooong time...

Matthew 24:6-8

"You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. ⁷ Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. ⁸ All these are the beginning of birth pains."

All these things(wars, rumors of wars, famines, earthquakes, etc.)  have happened at one point or another in time, singularly or in conjunction. But what has NEVER happened is the ability the world has to HEAR about these events the very moment they take place. In the 1800's, if something happened in New Zealand, chances are people in the rest of the world wouldn't know about it for months if not years. In the 1900's, if the same happened, people in the rest of the world would be aware within a day or two. But in the 2000's, if something happens in new zealand, the rest of the world is made aware within MINUTES. So that we may see how important TIME is for us. And so we can stand in awe of the One OUTSIDE of time. If that doesn't wow you, you have a problem. 


Jesus isn't only drawing our attention to these events which have always happened...in my opinion, He is also drawing our attention to the ability the world has to HEAR of these things as soon as they happen which seems to make them even more urgent.

As I was watching TV, I ran into 2 channels that were broadcasting shows that dealt with astrophysics. You know, stars, moons, galaxies, milky ways, planets, etc...

And I couldn't help but to think of what Solomon said...."I applied my mind to study and to explore by wisdom all that is done under the heavens. What a heavy burden God has laid on mankind!"

And I concluded that I couldn't agree with Solomon more. Except I noticed that he set his mind on studying things UNDER the heavens which to me meant the earth. And I started thinking about how heavy a burden indeed it is you have placed on man. For if it is impossible enough to TRY and gather, fathom, comprehend, understand, and know things of earth, which is where we exercise our being, and make use of your intelligent design, how is man to try and understand you O Maker, the One responsible for the things which we can't even begin to fathom much less exercise our being like Heaven? In my heart I am convinced that You have indeed made me this minute so that I can stand in infinite awe of you. But at times I find difficulty in strengthening my faith by the fact there is an x amount of knowledge, x being infinite, and that yet, You, know it all. All it does is make me feel like just a dot in this world, which Im now used to. But it raises the following:

WHY WOULD YOU BOTHER TO ANYTHING WITH ME?

I understand the mind of the atheist. I can almost sympathize with their train of thought. To them, You have made it impossible to believe in You by your grandiosity. They can't begin to wrap their minds around your majesty. And how can we blame them? If earth is your footstool, and it is man's habitat, what does that mean? How can man begin to grasp the Originator when all we see is your sole? And we have a difficulty even seeing that, the perfection of your work is absolutely, ridiculously, amazingly, beyond what words can even begin to articulate. We don't come close to tasting your work here on earth and then you throw in the heavens? LOL. It gets to the point where it is so mindboggling, it brings tears to my eyes. It's almost as if I have no choice but to say IMPOSSIBLE. But the Spirit testifies that all of this is by design. So im left to reason against that "impossibility". The FACT of You is impossible to fit in the mind. You're bigger than anyone thing or any all things put together times x. That equation is absolutely astounding. :|

And I feel bad because it does You no justice.

But I feel good because I know you have made it impossible for me to know You for what You know...but You have made it quite a treat for loving You for who You are.

The Giver of the breath of life for which all creation has  its being. The master of being, the master Being. The reason behind creation. The Thought behind time. Love.

What can it possibly mean to be created in your image O Sovereign God? You alone are God, yet you have given everything over to man. It gives you pleasure to have your offspring play in the safety of your playground.

Yet, no matter how much man knows or does not know, it amounts to nothing if it doesn't lead towards You. What point is there to knowledge if it doesn't take man to life in You?

THE TRUTH

1. In the truth, there is a messiah, WHO is THE TRUTH (john 14:6) WHICH IS THE TRUTH. In the lie, there is a messiah, WHO IS A LIE (1 john 2:22-23) WHICH IS THE LIE (2 thessalonians 2:8-11).

Q: What's the difference between THE truth and A lie?
 
A: THE truth is One. A lie, is one of many.


2. In the TRUTH, there is an anti-truth, but in the lie there is nothing but lies.


3. In the Truth, his witness isn't a man, it is the Holy Spirit which is not visible. In the lie, his witness will be a man, the false prophet, which IS visible so that the world may see that God is to be worshiped in spirit and in Ttruth  so that we may be sure of what we hope for while being certain of what we do not see.


In other words....how was ishmael born? By the hand of man. And how was isaac born? By the hand of God.

The islamic/ishmaelic eschatology will manifest itself in the same way ishmael was born, by the hand/manipulation of man.
