Ever since the beginning of time, man's biggest problem has been, and always will be, Death. However, when the perishable is clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”[h]
55 “Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?”[i]
56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ, who defeated death.
Therefore, any notion that takes that away from our Savior, is false doctrine that leads to destruction. The idea that we can get to heaven by any means, so long as we live "good lives" is a lie of the devil, one which would only lead to an overbearing sense of pride for
it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Universalism is the craftiest of all lies because it does not at the forefront reject Christ's work. It simply minimizes its sovereignty. In essence, it doesn't lie, it just fails to tell the whole truth.
Again, to suggest that eternity can be achieved by any means other than through Christ, is a lie. Therefore, to "encourage" man to seek salvation by his own means, is to be against Christ, the work He gave his life up for, and therefore anti-christian.
Universalism, for the sake of peace and security, and thus a perceived united world, is united AGAINST Christ.
